The second annual KZN NACA golf day took place on 23 April 2010 at the Bluff National Country Club. 32 golfers made up the field, playing a 4-ball alliance over 18-holes. The southwester made the golf more challenging, but couldn't blow away the enthusiasm of the golfers. The golf was followed by prize-giving and supper. The award for the winning team went to EnviroServ, with a total of 95 points. For once Greg Scott was not in the winning team at a NACA golf day. The ‘golfers’ from WSP brought in the lowest score, but one of their individuals walked of with the majority of prizes – most golf, nearest the pin and spot prizes. All golfers were able to take home a prize and a selection of individual, team and novelty prizes was shared among the golfers.
Highest Points
Lowest Points The sponsors included Garlicke & Bousfield, WSP, Reclam, Sappi, NPC, uMoya-NILU, Engen, Shepstone & Wylie, WardKarlson, Unitrans and NACA. They are all thanked for making this year’s event possible. The event showcased NACA as an organisation that lends its support to networking across the field. It created the opportunity for air quality practitioners in industry, government, consultancies and legal firms to meet and discuss relevant issues. Moving forward, the intention is to make the golf day a permanent feature on KZN’s calendar, with the hope of attracting NACA golfers from other provinces to KZN.
